Maid of Honor

Hi everyone, I'm Kristen, Tara's sister, and I have the pleasure of being her Maid of Honor! Tara and I grew up spending a lot of time together, playing the same sports: skiing, running, track, ballet, and soccer. However, unlike Tara, I wasn't super competitive. Mostly, I enjoyed being outside with my friends, doing the things I loved.

By middle school, I knew I was best at ballet, while Tara focused on endurance sports, but we still hung out together. Tara and I were always close growing up, maybe because she picked what we would do, and I followed along. Tara was always the bossy one. In fact, she still is!

Our lives have followed very different paths. I went back to school after college to get my Masters Degree in Education and my Teaching Credential. I know Tara and l will still see each other often, even though we're living on opposite sides of the country now, and I'm looking forward to visiting her on the East Coast.Tara has found an amazing partner in Willie. They balance each other out in the best way possible. I am so excited to see my sister get married, for Willie to become a part of our family, and to see what the future holds for them!

Best Man

Hi everyone, I'm Solomon, Willie's best man.

I've known Willie since third grade, when we were on the same soccer team (Go Blue Devils!) We were both probably the best players on the team, which is why we went on to play so much more soccer later in life.

Starting in fourth grade we were in the same gifted class, and became very good friends, as neither of us could figure out why we had been placed there. From that point on, we had class together basically through the end of high school. We went our separate ways in college; myself leaving Davis for a school with beach access, and Willie, with his love of cold weather and big cities, moving to New York. Despite the 3,000 mile distance we remained fast friends.

It's been so fun to watch Willie grow into the man he is today, although as one of my only friends who's taller than me I've historically wished he would stop growing. It's been great to see him and Tara's relationship blossom, it is clear how good they both are for each other. I always hoped that Willie would find someone smart, kind-hearted, and witty, with a love of outdoor recreation to match his own; Tara certainly checks those boxes. And for the rest of her life, Tara never has to Google any questions she might have about Lord of the Rings, which is also pretty cool.

Bridesmaid

Hi everyone! I'm Julia, and I have the honor of being one of Tara's bridesmaids. Growing up together in North Tahoe, we formed an unbreakable bond through everything from ballet and skiing to our never-ending quest to outdo each other in school. Even as life took us in different directions—Tara pursuing medicine and me a career in water resources—our friendship only deepened. Some of my most cherished memories are of us skiing, biking, and hiking all around Tahoe and beyond. Tara is always up for an adventure, and she constantly inspires me to push myself in every aspect of life.

Tara is truly one of the most incredible people I know, so naturally, my standards for her future husband were sky-high. I'm happy to report that Willie not only meets but exceeds them! To earn my stamp of approval, he had to:

- Be brilliant enough to keep up with Tara's exceptional mind.

- Be athletic enough to join her in at least some of her countless sports.

- Have a quick wit that keeps her entertained.

- Be kind, caring, and patient, but also willing to challenge her (because, despite what she might think, she's not always right).

- Most importantly, be willing to share Tara when I come to visit!

Watching Tara and Willie's relationship grow has been an absolute joy, and I can't wait to see what their future holds. I am beyond excited to celebrate their love with all of you this September!

Groomsman

Juan Pablo, or Jupa, is one of Willie's closest friends from Davis. They ran together at Davis High and Columbia and bonded over their shared love of running and adventure. Jupa is known for his infectious energy and passion for life (and having a slower 800 PR than Willie), and he has been a constant source of support for Willie throughout the years.

Bridesmaid

Hello - I'm Ingrid! I'm so excited for Tara & Willie and am so honored to celebrate with them!

Tara is one of my oldest friends from our preschool days to now. I will always treasure our memories from the many hours we spent together at various sports & school. We are so lucky our childhoods were filled with all the times we climbed boulders during fun runs, romped through the woods on nordic skis till we got lost in the dark, or fought to ride the chairlift with our favorite ski coach!

Tara has always been one of the most determined, tenacious, and ambitious people I know. Willie is her perfect match - truly a softie at his core and ready to go on every bike adventure her heart desires. I'm so thrilled Dartmouth brought the two of them to the east coast, for a few years at least, so that I have some buddies for the icy skiing and rocky hiking New England has to offer! To see that Tara has found her love brings me so much joy, and my heart is full thinking of their future together! Congratulations!
